Unplugged

Good Monday morning gentle readers, as you can see from my title I'm unplugging. I need to. I really really need to. I've given myself a challenge, thanks in part to Roni at Fiction Groupie. She said she hadn't been around the blogworld much, as she had been writing, ending up with 12K at the end of the week. So, guess what I'm going to try and do. Monster Baby is only in school for two more weeks, and 3 of those days, I have to be there with her so...

I had wanted to finish with Genna & Tony by the time she got out of school but as you can see, I'm only a quarter of the way there. I know it's a big challenge to me, but I think I can do at least something.

Now, don't all go off and get agents on me or anything. If anyone needs me for anything you can find me at piedmontwriter at g mail dot com. You know how it works. Have fun while I'm gone, get some work done yourselves and try and stay out of trouble.

And don't forget to join DL over at Cruising Altitude's SPARTA contest for 300 followers. It starts today.

I'll see you on the flip side.

Good luck, Anne! I haven't been as successful as I'd hoped, but I'm getting better daily (I think, at least.)

Unplugging is good. I unplugged so much I just quit my blog. Hah. But I'd been at it for 2 years and I just need a huge break from it, like a year or more. We'll see.

Good luck on writing! I know that the extra time I've been getting has gone to writing and exercising, two very good things. :)

Good luck and you will be missed. I know what you're feeling. I think I may have to do this myself.

I could use a serious "unplugging." Good luck, and good writing. You can do it. We'll see you when you get back. :)

We'll miss you. I went unplugged last week and it was the best thing I could do for my novel. :D

I wish you the best, Anne! It can be refreshing, to be unplugged. But like you have told me many times--we'll be here when you get back! :)

I'll miss you, but I hope you have a wonderful unplug time! I'm thinking of taking (another) hiatus myself -- I'm getting nothing done lately. Relax, write, and enjoy yourself! :) We'll be here.

Happy writing! Have a good time unplugged -- and enjoy the quiet before summer break. My kids are out on Friday...*sigh* I can't wait, but there's a part of me that will miss the long hours of silence!

See ya on the flip side :)

Thank you so much everyone! I actually did get some writing done on Genna & Tony. Only 1800 words today but there was a time glitch this morning. I'm hoping tomorrow I get the whole 3 hours.

I've also done a lot of reviewing of my other work in the Regency series, which, you know what, isn't half bad. Well, at least I think so anyway.

I've also written my blog for Roni's blog fest entry tomorrow, so if you're around, stop by -- it's Genna & Tony. Actually, it's Genna and Angie and a bombshell secret is exposed...

ONLY 1800 words?! I'd do cartwheels through town in my skivvies were I to ever accomplish such a feat. Well...actually I wouldn't, rumors and such...but anyway, Happy Unpluggage, Anne:)

Good luck! I will be spending most of the summer unplugged. I'm challenging myself to finish at least two first drafts this year and get one ready for sendout by January.
