Head's Up

Just thought I'd let you all in on what I've been doing these last few days. Sending out more queries, cleaning up THE LADY'S MASQUERADE manuscript and scouring agents on Query Tracker.

Boy Howdy, let me tell you how fantastic this site is for finding agents. If you haven't gone, go now. If you haven't joined, join now. This is invaluable information that we all need and I'm really grateful to the guys and gals who put this together. (Thanks Elana, thanks Patrick.)

I have a really good feeling about a couple of the agents I sent out today, course that doesn't mean anything, could be just the Mexican food I had for breakfast, but I'm really hoping to land a few more partials with a few of them. You know what they say, query well, query widely. So I'm casting my net into deeper water. We'll see what happens.

I know today is Thursday, and I should have posted another excerpt from the Genna & Tony saga but I didn't as I had already done so on Tuesday. So if you need a fix, scroll down. (And yes, I know it still needs work but I've been so busy doing other things I just haven't gotten around to it yet.)

Anyway, I hope you are all being productive and getting some writing done. I miss you and will see you all soon.

All the best on your query process--hopefully you'll get that subject line OFFER OF REPRESENTATION really soon!

Sending positive query vibes your way! I agree-I love querytracker too! It's about the only thing that keeps me organized. I won't tell you the number of times I keep "finding" the same agents. Luckily, querytracker tells me, "hey silly, they're already on your list!"

Good luck with the queries! Query tracker IS really great!

Good luck with the querying, and thanks for the heads up about Query Tracker.

Mmm, Mexican for breakfast! That's the greatest! Good luck with your queries. Query Tracker's great. I'm lucky enough to live by some of the girls that run it, and they are great. :)

Boy Howdy! That just cracks me up! Thanks, I needed that laugh.

I'm wishing you all the best and know that the more queries you send out the more likely you are to hook an agent. I sure look forward to reading a blog in the very near future where you inform us of this news! :)

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! You guys are the best! I will be off for another little while, maybe until the end of next week, we'll see just how much work I can get done -- hopefully a LOT!

But then again, I miss you all so much when I'm gone, and I'm such a nosey-body, I hate to miss out on what's going on.

Thanks again for all the positive vibes, let's hope I land my favorite agent in this go'round.

Thanks for the query tracker insight and good luck - I am in a hiatus until summer hits and then off to the slush pile. Sorry it took me so long to get here btw.

I haven't visited query tracker yet, but its on my list of things to do over the next two weeks. Looks like I'm getting my vacation from day job after all. And like you, I hope to send out several queries. And clean up that first novel, may write on the fantasy.

I hope you land some requests, and maybe even an agent from your unplugged time. Nice to see you back again.

Good luck with the querying! Yes, I do love Query Tracker. I just played around with it a little bit so far, but I intend to put it to full use when I'm ready to get more serious about querying.

Query Tracker is wonderful. Word Hustler is also a nice place to maintain organizational flow, but mind your funds with them. They'll offer to send out your query or manuscript all professional like...and take your mortgage payment money in the process:)

I haven't started to query yet, but I've been using query tracker to review information on agents. Invaluable site. Best of luck with the queries you have out there. And agreed, always query widely.

Aw, thank you for the shout out! And GOOD LUCK on the querying. What an exciting (and terrifying) time! I can't wait to read your good news here on your blog. :)

Good luck, Anne and you're right QueryTracker is invaluable. It's great to help you find agents and the comments section is great for cyberstalking agents while one of them is reading your stuff ;^)
