Friday's at the Piedmont Grille

On Today's Menu -- Sick Soup and crackers, and a pot of vanilla tea.

I'm sorry I have nothing for you today. Nothing of mine anyway. I'm tired, and I think I caught a cold from all this crazy *%^$# weather we've been having down here. One day it's 85, the next it's 35. I wish it would just regulate to warm and be done with it.

If you have the time, go to this link here and read it. If this link doesn't work, go to Janet's blog from yesterday and link there. I don't have to tell you who Janet is, now do I? We're all in different areas of our work, but it doesn't hurt to be informed.

Have a great weekend everyone. I'm going back to bed.

Sick soup? Could that be like chicken? Get some rest and be well soon.

Thanks you guys, nothing that a little nap, a box of Kleenex and Pride & Prejudice won't cure.

Sick soup has chicken, baby meatballs and kale in it. With rice and carrots too. It's good.

I'm so glad you posted that link of 8 things to do for an editor to love you. Wow. I learned all kinds of things from that post. Thanks!

Oh man, everyone's been sick lately. I can feel I'm coming down with something, too. Hope you feel better soon!

I wonder if finishing your manuscript (CONGRATS!) might have something to do with the cold. I find that I'm most likely to get sick right after I've finished a big project. It's like once the adrenaline is out of my body, the germs can move right in. No scientific evidence on this of course--just my own experience. I especially seem to get sick the first day of vacation. Arrrgghh.

Feel better. Enjoy the soup and Jane.

Julie -- Glad I could be of service. You might not need it yet, but it's always good to have.

Meghan -- The weather is the culprit. I was wearing shorts and t-shirt on Tuesday. Today I'm in my winter coat and hat.

Anne -- I think that may have something to do with it also. I've been running on adreneline for at least a month and once I finished, I just kind of collapsed. I know I need more sleep.

I hear you. My allergies have nearly done me in. Last night, I was in the bed by 6pm!

I hope the soup and tea work and that you feel much better quickly!

I'm so sorry you got sick. Yes, this up and down weather is crummy. We got some snow today here in Harrisonburg, and Jen has pain in her sinuses so we didn't make it to church.

Hope you're feeling better today. I've read all your kind comments about up upcoming publication. Thank you so much! It IS incredibly exciting (a kind of excitement I hope you and my wonderful followers will feel also some day soon!!) and I appreciate your friendship and support. Just get better so you can get back to your writing!!!
