Unusual Saturday

This is an unusual Saturday post but I just had to say:

I read some amazing blogs this morning for the murder blogfest. Go check them out. You'll be quite surprised what evil lurks in our friends' minds.

I dug two more holes for the fence posts.

I collected more rocks for the french drain.

I weed-wacked 3/4 of the yard until the batteries ran out.

I mowed the whole thing. An acre including the puppy pen.

Two loads of laundry, hung out on the line.

Emptied and loaded the dishwasher.

I AM DONE! Tomorrow I get to dig the remaining holes - 3 - for the fence and go get the cement. Monday, I have a dentist appointment so I'm not doing anything after that. Tuesday I may do the cement. Weds & Thurs I hope to be ready to hang the fence. 200 feet of horse wire. It'll be purdy when it's done.

I'm going to take a nap. By the way, it's 5:21pm. I think I put in enough time today. I started at 9:30. Have a lovely rest of the weekend.

Oh, P.S. I came up with a few new ideas for Genna & Tony while I was digging the holes. I'm too tired to write them down though. Let's hope I remember.

Lots of stuff done! Wow! I've never dug holes for fences. I can imagine that would be quite... challenging.

Wow, way to roll out a Saturday, Anne. You deserve a nap after accomplishing all that. Isn't it amazing how when you're doing something that engages the body, the mind becomes free to think about writing?

Revel in all that productivity and enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

Super woman! You've certainly been busy today!

DL -- Happy weekend to you.

Rebecca -- Challenging is not the word.

VR -- I do so love that I can be physical and then think at the same time.

Summer -- I have to be busy otherwise I feel guilty about writing.

Wow, girl. You make me feel like such a slacker. Way to be productive and get some ideas about the WIP. I'm way impressed. Go!You!

Oh, I hope you do remember! I always get good ideas and forget them later. :(

Have a lovely weekend. :)

I wouldn't need a nap. I'd need a week at a spa, with energizing massages and soothing music and lovely herbal teas.

But that's just me and my wimpy self, I guess! Rock on!

Sarah Jayne -- Please don't ever feel like a slacker, you should see the rest of my house. I HAVE to get all this done NOW because in the summer it's too way too hot and the mosquitos are unbearable. Besides, if I get it all done now, I can work on REMEMBERING YOU all summer, maybe even have it finished and out to query. Wouldn't that be nice?

Glamaliscious -- I did write them down. I had a couple of conversations I needed to get down so I took 10 minutes and went crazy.

Cynthia -- LOL, Believe me if I could spa right now, I'd be flat on my belly with hot rocks all the way down my back. Unfortunately, all I've got is a hot shower and a pumice stone.

Well, I was going to complain about having to work today in a cold empty building. I like being there along - I can crank up my own music for a change - but I'm not sure how to turn up the heat so I had to wear my sweater.

Now I'm tired after reading about your day. You exhausted me.

Have a wonderfully relaxing rest of the weekend.

You are on a roll, girl! And yes, it was about sex :). But fiction, of course!

You are amazing. How do you do it? Energizer bunny. Those fencepost holes are not easy. Are you using an auger? My goodness. It makes me wish I had the energy to work on our garden.

Isn't it just great when the ideas are flowing! I have a feeling you'll remember even without writing them. Good ideas tend to stick around.

Wow, you've been busy! Isn't funny how ideas come to you when you're doing something totally unrelated to writing?

I need a nap after reading about your day!

Courtney -- Thanks for joining my craziness. Good to have you here.

Donna -- I'm sorry I ruined your day. I didn't mean it.

Amy -- YES! I knew it. I told you we were the same daughters of different mothers. I read all the comments, they all thought it was about water.

Carolina -- No, I'm not using an auger. I WISH. I'm using a garden claw and post hole diggers and a baby shovel. I've got muscles where God never intended.

Talli -- Idle hands are the devil's workshop. I've got to stay busy or I'll go mad.

ooh what's a french drain?
We went shopping this weekend and bought a new lawnmower and also a new ceiling fan for my room (which we then installed. I LOVE being handy)

Holy cow!! That is a lot of work! I bet you feel so good, even though you must be dead tired. It's going to look great when you're done, maybe you should post a picture? :)

Whew, you are a busy lady! I admire you for working so hard. And I hopehopehope that you remember the Genna & Tony idea. (I'm becoming a bit of a cheerleader for your WIP, if you haven't noticed.)

(Ah, yes, you told Lady Glamis that you wrote them down. All is okay now. Hehe.)

Like the others ... I need a rest just reading your labors of Hercules! Thanks for taking precious time to drop by blog and leaving the lovely comments you did. Drop my name around. Maybe if an agent visits my blog and finds I have a wider platform that might help.

Yeah, well, miracles happen. I've been racing around the city and Eastern Texas delivering rare blood to hospitals all day, and I know what you mean about forgetting ideas for your novel. You took 10 minutes to write down some key conversation, and that is very wise. I carry a small, scrunched-up notebook to scribble key words or phrases down that hopefully will trigger the rest of the memory.

Soon perhaps we both will be published. And we'll be able to share laughs about these hollow, worrisome times wondering. Roland

Sarah A -- See my attached e-mail.

Crystal -- I'm working on the picture thing but as yet don't have a digital camera. I'm hoping I get one for my birthday.

Shelley -- I love that you love my story. You are an excellent cheerleader.

Roland -- As a kid, they used to call me Herc because I could drag the boat up the beach by myself. And it was my pleasure to drop by your blog. I love Hibbs and the way you write so the time is well spent there.

Congrats. That sounds like a mad-productive day. That's got to feel good, if majorly tiring.

wow! I'd be dead after a day like that. impressive.

Anne, I hope you took today to just chill and relax after the day you put your body through yesterday. Even Hercules rested from his labors. God, too, for that matter. And on today come to think of it. Have a great week. Roland
