Friday's at the Piedmont Grille

Good morning. I hope you all enjoyed the pictures I posted of my characters for REMEMBERING YOU. It was exciting to find them all. Finally.

I've been working steadily on editing and revising the first act.

I've also added two more scenes and 3000 more words so I'm a little over 42K now. Halfway there. One month to go.

I also got another request for MASQUERADE, and for those of you who answered my pdf question, I had to go with the download, my computer didn't have the convert button. So thanks, Stacy, for that info.

Fun stuff, this writing business. I learn something new every day.

What did you learn this week??

Lovely Jayne Ferst is having a spectacular contest until August 8 on sending out her first query. Go here to check out the prizes! Cool Agatha Christie!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Great news on the request!

I have more good news. :) You won a book over on my blog! Congrats!

Glad I could help!

What did I learn this week? That I can write AND have a life with my family. Ha Ha.

But really, when I set myself some realistic goals, it did enable me to enjoy other things (even though I probably WOULD rather write!).

Good luck on your requests.

What did I learn? That I'm not the only one out there who has almost given up on myself when it comes to writing. Actually I already knew that, but now I have some real life examples.

Congrats on winning that book Anne! Have a great weekend.

Woo hoo!

I learned that I really need to start writing my new wip. I'm starting to get carried away with my edits to my current wip, and have added several new scenes, and majorily edited the first half of the book because of one teensy suggestion made by a brilliant beta reader. This teensy suggestion snowballed, telling me that either my book is now rocking, or that it's time to write something new. I'm hoping it's the former.

I meant woo hoo on your request. Apparently my brain hasn't started to function yet. Need. Caffeine. ;)

Thanks everyone for your best wishes on this latest request. It's so hard to get ramped up for this because of all the previous rejections but as you know it only takes one to say yes.

Hi Anne! Hooray on your request!
This week I'm learning that I am once again letting other things take precedence over my writing. It's time to reorder my priorities!

Congrats on another request!

What I learned this week? When in need always reach out to your fellow writers, they are awesome to the nth degree.

Congratulations!
What I learned this week? That nothing is final in the writing world. Mostly for the best.

Congratulations on your request!

I learned that I have an addiction. I missed two days of reading blogs, and I just about went crazy!

Good luck on the partial request! I've gotten lazy on sending out queries. I've got some excuses around here somewhere if I can just find them.

Good news for you!

What did I learn this week? ummmm....I think I was supposed to learn patience. Still working on that, however.

Hooray for the request! :)

Let's see...I learned summer is a s-l-o-w time in the publishing world. Which added to my continuing lesson in patience.

As long as the requests keep coming, you are inching forward. GOOD LUCK!

Congratulations on the request. I'm hoping to get caught up on several things this weekend, including entering and posting links to various contests. Hope you're surviving this terrible heat and have a great weekend!

YAY for your request!! Another good sign. I got very little accomplished this week because I spent most of it in Chicago. This weekend will be spent catching up. *sigh*

Thanks for the post, and hooray for your request! This week I learned that I can read a pdf of an ebook on my laptop without having a Kindle or anything - never knew that before. :)

What's all this about the heat? It's winter in Oz, hee hee..:)

This week I learned that there are TWO strong possibilities that I'll meet, face-to-face, some of my blogger BFFs. Keeping my fingers crossed that they come true!

Congrats on the request!!!!! Some of my crossed fingers are for MASQUERADE :D

I've learned about setting up accounts with Amazon Kindle and Smashwords, formatting a manuscript, and setting up my book to be available for sale as an eBook. Its a lot of work but I've learned much and mission accomplished!

Woohoo! Thank you for the shout out about my comp, Anne, and that is great about the request for Masquerade. I like what you have said above, that it is hard to get ramped up but it only takes one to say yes. I very much relate to that feeling!
