Birthday Weather

Good Morning everyone. Another short and sweet post today.

I hope and pray that everyone is okay with that stupid storm that ran through the whole east coast last night. I've been up since midnight waiting for the tornadoes our lovely weather caster threatened us with at dinner last night. I even found my old hurricane (NOAA) radio and turned it on.

Nothing happened. Just lots of rain, thankfully. But my lack of sleep is killing me. I just hope you are all safe and sound.

I won't be around for the next few days. It's Monster Baby's birthday tomorrow so I need to do some shopping. Wait til the last minute much? You will probably think this is mean but I'm getting her an electric pencil sharpener. Why, you may ask? Because she has so many pencils and has so much trouble with the little hand-held sharpeners I think she'll get a kick out of it. My warped sense of Mommy humor. I suppose she'll also get another Barbie, a few books and maybe a movie -- she's wanted The Incredibles forever, so I'm on the hunt.

And if you can, make a big splash for our lovely Talli who's HATING GAME comes out on Amazon today.

Have fun. I'll see you Friday.

Glad you're OK. Don't ya just love how the weather people make weather (real or NOT) seem like it's the storm of the century? Obviously it's always wise to play it safe. Love the sharpener idea. My grandkids love to pillage my office. They've sharpened my pencils to nubs. Thanks too for the "heads up" on Talli.

We've been waiting for the tornadoes predicted, too. Thankfully, we also only have a lot of wind and rain so far.

And I think an electric pencil sharpener sounds like a great gift--I love mine.

Hmm - our birthdays are one week and one day off each other and so are our kids' birthdays. Interesting.

We didn't even get a ton of rain - lots of wind, though. I thought of you and your train story. The way the wind whips through the woods behind my house it always sounds like a train, so now I'm extra paranoid that I won't recognize the real thing!

Happy birthday, Monster Baby :)

A Tornado touched down near here last night. That's pretty rare for GA. Glad to hear your okay.

And yay for Talli!

I think the pencil sharpener is great!!

Rain here in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Flooding in spots around us, but not where we are. I think my other children in Northern Virginia are safe. Glad you are, too.

Happy birthday to your daughter!!! and enjoy your Thursday.
