NaNoQuerMo

Just a quick post today.

Congrats to all those who have finished with their NaNo projects. I've heard fun was had by all.

As it is the last day of the official NaNo, it is also the last day of NaNoQuerMo.

My stats --

13 queries out

1 rejection

1 full request

Which, as you know, sent me into hyperspace for about two weeks. Still no word on anything else. (Which is why I only sent out 10 more...I know these won't come back until after the holidays and I'm perfectly fine with that.) So there you have the official NaNoQuerMo stats.

Anyone else want to share?

Way to go on the full. Good for you!! I am not, nor have ever been, a NaNoQuerMoWhatever fan. I am a write when you got it and cry when you don't kind of writer. I'm sure you know that as I complain about it all the time. But I so congratulate you on sticking with it and your great success!!!

Hooray for a full request! I'm hoping to be ready to query soon after Jan. 1.

As you know, I didn't quite live up to my original NaNoQuerMo expectations. I don't consider it quiting. I think of it as taking a brief hiatus until all my darn wish-list agents start accepting queries again -- January.

My query stats for the month are:

7 Queries out
3 Rejections
0 Requests (as of yet)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you on the full!! Well, when I'm not using them to type, that is.

Ignore the rejections and concentrate on that request for a full. That rocks! :)

hey, you're like even steven with those stats!

I had sort of similar results:
16 out
3 rejections
1 partial request (immediate rejection)
1 full.

I think we're probably doing pretty well. The fact we both got requests probably shows our queries are OK, so it's just about hitting the right agent at the right moment. And maybe both our fulls will work out! (Let's hope. I'd just LOVE to work with the one who requested mine.)

And hey, Tracy and other NaNoQuerMo-ers. We tried!

I'd say you're making great progress. My philosophy is, if you don't query you won't get an acceptance! It's the waiting that's hard--and then the rejections. But writers are the most optimistic of people. Just keeping writing and querying!!!

Congrats Anne! That's great news!

I have no news... I've completed NaNo, but not the book... these last couple of weeks have been so hectic. I'm hoping to get back to it this week.

Still hoping it something good will phone up ;) *my fingers are crossed.

I have a requested partial out.
Two of the best children's agencies here only work with snail mail. I am almost tempted. It was the thing I said I'd never do.

That's a great accomplishment, Anne, I've never sent out that many queries period let alone in a month. You've got such an inspiring attitude and I am crossing all things crossable in hopes that one of these will result in The Call. You're overdue.

You amaze me!
