Good morning. On September 28 I will have been published for one year. It has been an amazing journey that's for sure. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think it would work out as well as it has. Never did I think I would learn so much.
This last year has also been filled with personal triumphs as well. My illness took a turn for the better so I've been able to accomplish so much more "outside" in the fresh air. We bought a new house. I got rid of my ex (which had a lot to do with feeling better). My daughter is now in private school.
I have lots to be thankful for. But most of all, I am thankful for you, my wonderful blog friends. Without you, I don't know where I would be now. Your support and encouragement has enabled me to accomplish my dream of being published. Without you, I would probably still be sitting on my first manuscript wondering what I'm doing wrong.
Like I said, I've learned a lot.
Tell me -- What have you learned in the last year?
PS -- Does anyone else hate the new Blogger changes? I can't find anything!!!

Congrats! I've learned that few things are better than a reader who loves your writing.
Congrats! Time flies in publishing - when self publishing! :)
Congratulations!!!
Wow! You've accomplished a lot in the last year. Congrats!!
Rick -- Isn't that the absolute truth. There's nothing better than fanmail.
Laura -- It certainly does!
Yvonne -- Thank you!
Sherrie -- From what I understand, you have as well. Congrats to you on the movie deal!
Hooray! Congrats on your anniversary, and for all you've accomplished in the past year.
Me? Mainly I've learned there's a heckuva lot more to writing than just writing. :)
Well done, Anne. There's nothing quite like stepping out and making our dreams reality. I'm sure you'll do even more and build on your success.
Congratulations, Anne:-)
I have learnt to do without adverbs . . . mostly;-)
Whoooo! Congrats on being published for one year! You have such drive and talent!
Happy Anniversary. I'm sure there are many more books to come.
Happy anniversary!
I've learned to keep everything in perspective (ummm, most of the time).
Linda -- There's so much more to writing than just BICHOK. Formatting is a nightmare.
Joy -- You too. I see you've added some more books to your resume as well.
Janice -- I love my adverbs soooo much!! My crit partner goes crazy but I won't change them.
Betty -- Yes, drive, not sure about the talent.
Patti -- Just a few for now. Who knows where I'll be in 5 years.
Johanna -- Perspective is a funny word. What's good one day is so very bad the next.
Happy Anniversary! I've learned that there are caring people out there who will give of their time to assist a fledgeling writer. I've also learned there really is such a thing a virtual friendship.
Happy anniversary, Anne! Amazing how one year can be so long and so short at the same time, huh?
I've learned, as an author, there's nothing more exciting than total strangers reading my words and loving them.
I hope this next year rewards you just as much as this year did.
Happy anniversary! I'm not sure what I've learned int he past year. I know I'm exhausted, though ... :)
Many congratulations, Anne. I love the fact you are living and learning the dream.
Liza -- Virtual friendship. Kind of like old-fashioned pen pals. I don't know where I'd be without you.
Linda -- I know, strangers reading my books is mind blowing. Thanks. I hope your next year is fabulous as well!
Michelle -- I hear you on that point. Who said writing was easy.
Donna -- Hey, so are you! On both sides of the fence -- trad and self. Go Donna!
That sure was a fast year, wasn't it?I'll bet you're really glad you took that leap of faith (and did all that hard work) that got 'er done. Congrats. I hope this next year is even better for you.
Wow! I can't believe it's been a year already!! *throws confetti*
And i'm sorry to hear you've been ill. I hope you're on the mend.
Congratulations - definitely a cause for celebration! And I'm glad to hear you've been feeling better.
A BIG HUGE HUG, Anne! Has it really been only one year? Congratulations. You are an inspiration.
As for the new Blogger changes...they suck.
Happy Anniversary. So glad you've had a great year. I don't like the changes but I'm getting used to them.
i'm so happy for you! its wonderful to be well, and healthy, and find success in all that's important! i hope the next year is just as great :)
oh - and i've learned that everyone's path to success is different. i love that!
I can't believe you remember your publication anniversary. Women.
Congratulations in any case. It's nice to celebrate all your victories. It helps when you suffer defeat, to know that you can be victorious at some other time.
As for the blogger changes, I've gotten used to them. It still beats wordpress and the others I have dinked around with, but of course I'm an HTML purist, so I prefer a simple website.
BTW, I read an article on someone who got sued (Roni Larsen) for putting up copyright pics. Just sharing. Now I'm all paranoid!

Well, congrats! What a great anniversary to celebrate.
CONGRATS!!
Learning is an ongoing process, isn't it? Blogger drives me nuts sometimes as does Wordpress. Just when I get something down they go and change it, lol!

Congratulations on the anniversary!
Hate the new blogger! Should have renamed it bloggert!
Nas
Congratulations! I'm proud of you!
No, I didn't notice the blogger changes :(
happy anniversary! Yes, change can be pretty stressful and I too hated they've done with blogger... But after a while you get used to it and then... guess what? Time for another change! It keeps us on our toes, I suppose... sigh...
WOW, one year! Congrats!!
Wow. I thought I'd had an amazing year, but yours tops it. Getting your health back and kicking out the ex, plus moving to a new house--and publishing what--at least 10 books?! I'm in awe. Congrats, Anne!
Oh, wow... a whole year! So much has happened this year, hasn't it? You've made some amazing strides, not only personally, but as a writer and I'm just so proud to be a part of it. :)
