I'm Back! Did You Miss Me?

Well, good morning. I'm finally back to Blogger and they changed the format around. How many of you are hating this new system besides me? I can't find anything, don't know where to look, afraid to touch a button for fear the whole thing will crash. ARGH!!! Why can't they just leave things alone? Rant done.

Anyway, thanks for all your support while I was away. It really means the world to me. My dad is doing better. I don't think he'll ever change his curmudgeonly ways, but then he wouldn't be my dad if he did.

We're still waiting to close on the new house. Lawyers and banks and home inspections, oh my. You know how it goes. I just can't wait to start moving. You should see the dining room. Filled with boxes and crap and yard sale stuff. The only nice thing about this move is that I can just take stuff 'as is' and bring it to the new house in the car. I don't need a moving truck -- yet.

As for being back, I'm hoping to go back to my old format of M-W-F posts. I'm really hoping you'll all stop by again. Thanks so much to all my new followers. It's so nice to have you here.

And I hope you spent yesterday doing something good for Mother Earth, for her birthday. Oops, for Earth Day. It was actually my birthday. The Big 50. Where did the time go? Anyway, I hope you did something fun and picked up some trash somewhere. Or recycled something. We all have to do our part.

Now, tell me true, did you miss me? What have you been up to? What did I miss since I've been gone, beside Blogger changing?

Happy Belated Birthday Anne! Yes, I did miss you. And yes, I hate the changes Blogger has made. Frustrating.

Can't say I did anything for Earth Day - except maybe sit outside for it (for a baseball game). It was cold, though. I want the sun to come back!

Of course we missed you, Anne

And happy birthday. All the speed limit birthdays are fun. Have an extra kick in them. Enjoy

Of course I missed you! I was wondering what you were up to. I hate the new format too. I guess I'm getting used to it but I don't know why they couldn't just leave it alone. It's like the gmail program too....all different and not as good. I prefer Outlook Express for email and might start using it more.

You asked what was new...I have an interview! I posted about it a few days ago. Still working hard on fine-tuning my manuscript.

For Earth Day I stripped a railing. It was too windy to go outside. All this wind we have anymore is going to turn this land into a desert. All the more reason to plant a tree. I'll get to that before the end of the month. I figure the whole month of April is Earth Day as well as poetry month. Happy belated birthday!

I'm not a huge fan of this new Blogger system either. Why do they keep messing with it?

Happy Belated B-day! Glad to hear your dad is doing better.

Stacy -- Thank you for the birthday wishes. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates Blogger today.

Mac -- Thanks. I still drive over the speed limit at all times. I don't believe in slowing down. Lol.

Yvonne -- Thank you. I did see your interview announcement, I just didn't comment. I'll be around the blogs later today to check up on you. Yes, let's plant a bunch of trees! I love trees.

Christine -- Thanks so much. How's the quering going? I'll be on the blogs later to see what's going on.

Sherrie -- Thank you so much. Yeah, Dad felt pretty good yesterday. Oh, and why is Blogger being such a stupidhead?

Of course I missed you! Welcome back, and a belated Happy Birthday to you!

I've been on hiatus, too, and just noticed the same thing with blogger. Ugh. So annoying.

Welcome back, Anne, and happy belated birthday!!!!

Yeah, I'm not too impressed with Blogger's changes either. For the longest time, I was afraid of pressing the wrong button and crashing everything. You and I think alike. :)

Welcome back! I don't like change, I prefer dollar bills ;-)

Hope you managed to squeeze in some celebration for your birthday in the midst of the busyness.

I'm frustrated that the new blogger interface doesn't seem to work with some HTML tags properly--or when they SEEM to work in the compose view, they don't on the live blog. I'm looking at you #&$^ indentation tag. (Ugh. How am I supposed to post poetry all months without being able to indent anything?!) enough of that rant.

Glad to have you back, Anne. Best wishes for your move.

Welcome back, but your voice was never gone. Happy Birthday. Happy Moving. Happy ... well ... just happy.

Linda -- Thanks. I heard you and the family were sick. I hope you're feeling better.

Stina -- Thanks. Oh I just can't stand this new blogger. I found a button that said "go back to old" but I didn't. And when I looked for it again, it was gone. Argh!

Rick -- LOL. And I loved your comment about the judge on my last post. Luckily, no visits from the FBI. At least I don't think so.

Laurel -- It's good to see you out and about again. I'm glad your surgery went well. Poetry? I guess I didn't know that about you. There's a button on the sidebar in your "posting menu" that allows html literally, or composed. I don't know if that helps or not.

Judith -- Thank you. Gosh, I guess I didn't realize I sounded so happy. Funny that.

Thanks for the tip on HTML. I've been doing a National Poetry Month theme instead of the A-Z, and getting frustrated with not having some poems render correctly. Ah well.

And to welcome you back from your hiatus, I've tagged you in a meme over at my blog. It's a pretty easy one.

Happy Belated Birthday, Anne. I, too, hate the new "improved" Blogger!!!!

Glad to hear good things about your father. I hope the house deal comes through with ease and speed. Roland

Happy belated birthday!
I know how it goes with moving and closing a house. It's always something.
I'd switched to the new format last year so I've had time to get used to it. I know everyone else is freaking right now, so it's not just you.
Glad you're back!

Johanna -- It's nice to see you again too.

Roland -- Thank you so much. I hope things went well with your own move.

Alex -- Thanks Alex. You should do a post about the new Blogger. With any tips and tricks you've learned.

Sarah -- I'm sure Blogger will get to you shortly. It seems to change in fits and spurts.

Happy birthday:-) I hope you did something special - apart from filling boxes and filtering treasures. Fingers crossed that you can complete your move very soon.

Happy belated Birthday.
Glad you are back and happy your dad is doing better.

Like you, I hate the new blogger system. I can't find anything and not sure where to look out of fear of losing something. But I'm working today on understanding it better.
