Please Help

I know I never post on Thursday but I do hope you'll all see this, and help out if you can.

Matt McNish from The QQQE had a blog post that caught my eye, and you can read it here. As a matter of fact, I encourage you to read it. It's about a friend of his, Candace Ganger from The Misadventures in Candyland. Now, I've never met her, never even been to her blog, but I've been in her shoes, not so very long ago, I might add. She wrote a post, which you can find here, and I really hope you'll read it. It broke my heart is 17 places, and she said she was going to take it down, but I hope she didn't.

She needs help. She didn't want to ask for it, but she has no choice. There are just some things a mother has to sacrifice for her family, and one of them is pride. There should be no shame in that. We are such a supportive blogging communtiy, I hope you'll be able to donate at least a dollar to this family. It would mean a lot, and help out so much.

She listed a Paypal account on her blog, but if you don't have an account please write her and ask her for address to send something through snail mail. I know she will appreciate it. When we have so much good fortune, it's easy to overlook those who are struggling.

Please do help. She's one of our own.

Thanks so much, Anne.

Even for those who can't afford to send money, stopping by, following her blog, and saying hello might help to lift her spirits.

She's one of the most entertaining bloggers I know, so you won't regret.

i helped her out yesterday. The best thing about candyland, is that in the past she has been AMAZING about raising money for charities.

Glad I stopped by the blogosphere today. I wasn't planning on returning until Monday. Reading Candy's post, then Matt's, then yours Anne, made me get all weepy in my cubicle.

I've sent Candy an email. The fact that all of you are coming together for her amazes me. Such wonderful, wonderful writers. Group hug, guys. :)

She does so much for us and I'm so happy to be able to help her out. I hope together as a group we can support her and help her through this rough time.

Thank you so much for posting about this. It would have taken me a while before I caught her post, or she could have taken it down by the time I got that far down on my reader. I feel her pain. Been there and sometimes been there even worse. I hate seeing others go through this kind of hardship.

I might have missed this as I'm catching up this week, so thanks Anne. Right now, all I can give C are my best wishes, but she has those in abundance. This post was a good thing you did.

Wow, first day back in a long time and I totally would have missed this if you hadn't posted about it. Thanks for the heads up...already made my way over and took care of business before I responded here.

*Hugs* to Candy that she has the chance to make it through, and *hugs* to you and Matt for making a difference.

I've read of Candace's plight over at Lydia Kang's blog and have been over to donate something. I wish I could have donated more, truly. I wish her all the best! Take care

Thanks for posting this, Anne. I don't know her, but I'm in pay it forward mode for all I've received over the years from so many people, financially and otherwise.

BTW, L'Aussie (Denise Covey) told me most people (in her view) blog on Wednesdays and Thursdays. So I've picked Wednesday. Just wanted to pass it on (we dialogued about this through email).

Have a great week!
